What’s the difference between you and a wedding planner?
Just to be clear, we aren’t wedding or event planners so we don’t need to see your invite list, accommodation list or your shoe choice for the day (that’s a lie, of course we want to see your shoes!)
A planner will plan your wedding for you, they will get three quotes for you for your flowers and they will manage your RSVP list.
OQ however, give you the tools you need to plan your own wedding!. Of course we are there in the background for any major questions or dilemmas but essentially, we give you everything you need at the beginning to plan your day and then we come in at the end to ensure that everything you have worked so hard on comes together just as you dreamed it would.
What’s the difference between you and a venue coordinator?

Your venue coordinator primarily focuses on the logistics and operations related to the venue itself, such as ensuring the venue is set up according to their standards, overseeing the venue staff, and addressing any venue-specific issues. While they play an important role, their responsibilities are limited to the venue.

At Occasion Queens, our role as an independent on the day coordinator is far more comprehensive. We manage and coordinate every detail of your wedding day from liaising with all your suppliers and managing the timeline to ensuring your personal touches are perfectly executed.
Our goal is to bring your entire vision to life, offering personalised support and handling any challenges that arise, so you can enjoy a flawless and stress-free wedding.

Why don’t you offer full wedding planning?

Lots of people like to plan their wedding, enjoy the process and don’t want to relinquish that control to someone else. However, they do appreciate that they can’t do it all on the day itself so OQ is the answer to that!

How many suppliers do you recommend?
As many as you need! We know so many amazing wedding suppliers and one of our favourite things is to put you in contact with extremely good wedding creatives.
Why don’t you have suppliers listed on your website?

At OQ we strive to give a personalised and quality service. The suppliers that we recommend are picked to match your style and your budget.

The people we recommend are people we have worked with, they run creative businesses and we know they will really care about the service they provide.

I don’t need an inspiration session, can you reduce the price?

Unless it’s the week before your wedding day, you need an inspiration session! They are the best part of the service that we offer and you will feel so much better after – totally in control and prepared.

How long is an inspiration session?

An inspiration session is normally an hour and half, it really depends on how clear your vision is for your wedding day and how far along the planning process you are.

Who will be our event manager on the day?
After your Inspiration Session, one of our fabulous lead coordinators will be assigned to you and your wedding. We pair up our lead coordinators with couples based on who will be the best fit for you and the location of your wedding.
All our wedding coordinators have gone through extensive training and have years of experience coordinating weddings. You can find out more about them here (link to meet the team page)
How early should I book your services?
Typically couples book us around 6 months before their wedding. However we take bookings up to 18 months in advance and some couples have booked us with as little as 4 weeks to go. It’s never too late!
Can you help with last-minute weddings?

Yes, we can! While it’s ideal to have more time to plan, we understand that sometimes last-minute weddings happen. Contact us to see how we can help.

Will I meet my coordinator before the wedding day?

Yes, you will have a final planning meeting with your lead coordinator about a month before your wedding day to ensure everything is in place and to go over all the details.

How far will you travel?

We coordinate weddings in London, Oxfordshire, and the Home Counties (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Kent, Surrey). We’re also excited to expand our wedding coordination services to new counties, including Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, and Suffolk.

However, if your wedding is further afield in the UK, please get in touch. Travel and accommodation charges may apply.

Everyone needs Occasion Queens in their life! Outstanding! Our wedding day would of been a complete disaster without them.
