A Spring London Wedding with a Greek Ceremony, Routemaster Bus and Wilton’s Music Hall Reception

Chrissy and Efe’s London wedding will always be one of our absolute favourites.

Not only because it was beautiful, but because they are two of the most genuine, kind and lovely people. Their wedding felt full of warmth from the very beginning. It was a true joy for our Occasion Queens team to coordinate the day and help bring their plans together.

Their celebration combined a traditional Greek wedding ceremony, London garden photographs, a classic red Routemaster bus and an unforgettable reception at Wilton’s Music Hall.

It was personal, joyful and unmistakably London.

A traditional Greek wedding ceremony in London

Bride and Groom in Greek Orthodox Church London

Chrissy and Efe began their wedding day with a traditional Greek ceremony at a church in London.

Greek wedding ceremonies are rich with meaning and symbolism. They feel deeply rooted in family, faith and tradition.

Surrounded by their family and friends, Chrissy and Efe exchanged vows in a setting that felt heartfelt and full of emotion.

As wedding coordinators, our role was to make sure the ceremony logistics felt calm and organised. We helped manage the guest flow, reserved seating, timings and transitions, so the couple and their families could focus on the meaning of the moment.

Confetti photographs in the gardens

After the ceremony, we guided guests to the nearby gardens for confetti photographs.

This was such a beautiful part of the day.

The ceremony had felt traditional and meaningful. The gardens then gave everyone a chance to celebrate, cheer and enjoy that just-married feeling.

Confetti moments always look effortless in photographs, but they need careful coordination behind the scenes.

Guests need to know where to stand. The photographer needs the right space. The couple need a clear route. Everyone needs to be ready at the same time.

Our team helped gather guests, create the moment and keep everything moving smoothly before the next part of the wedding began.

A classic London Routemaster bus

Once the confetti photographs were finished, guests boarded a red Routemaster bus to travel to the reception.

Because really, is it a London wedding without a red Routemaster?

The bus added such a brilliant sense of occasion to the day. It was practical, fun and completely fitting for a city wedding.

It also made the guest journey feel like part of the celebration rather than just a transfer between venues.

For multi-venue London weddings, transport is always an important part of the timeline. Guests need clear instructions. The bus needs to arrive at the right time. The couple need space for photographs. The reception venue needs to know when guests are on their way.

This is where wedding coordination makes a real difference.

We kept the flow moving from church to gardens to transport, making sure guests knew where to go and the day stayed on track.

A Wilton’s Music Hall wedding reception

Chrissy and Efe continued their celebrations at the incredible Wilton’s Music Hall.

Wilton’s Music Hall is one of London’s most atmospheric wedding venues. It describes itself as the oldest Grand Music Hall in the world, and its history extends back to the 1690s. The hall itself was built in 1859 and remains one of the most characterful spaces in the city.

It is a venue with real soul.

The original wooden flooring, historic details and gently worn textures create an atmosphere that feels romantic, theatrical and completely unique. Wilton’s does not feel like a blank canvas. It already has a story.

For Chrissy and Efe, it provided the perfect setting for dinner, dancing and an evening filled with celebration.

Guests arrived after their Routemaster journey and stepped into a space full of character. The contrast between the traditional Greek ceremony and the historic music hall reception made the day feel layered, personal and beautifully London.

Dinner, dancing and a vintage-style wedding cake

The evening at Wilton’s Music Hall was full of joy.

Guests enjoyed dinner, speeches, dancing and the kind of relaxed celebration that comes when everyone feels completely at ease.

Before their first dance, Chrissy and FA cut their wedding cake by EM Cakes.

It was a gorgeous vintage-style cake and suited the setting perfectly.

The cake-cutting created a natural transition into the evening celebration. Guests gathered, the couple shared the moment together, and the night moved beautifully into dancing.

As coordinators, we were there to protect that flow.

We managed the timings, supported supplier communication and made sure each moment happened when it needed to happen, without the couple having to think about the logistics.

Coordinating a multi-venue London wedding

Chrissy and Efe’s wedding included several moving parts.

A traditional Greek ceremony. Garden confetti photographs. Guest transport by Routemaster bus. A reception at one of London’s most iconic and atmospheric venues.

Each part of the day needed to connect smoothly.

That is where our Occasion Queens team came in.

Team OQ managed the timeline, guest movement, supplier communication and transitions between locations. We made sure everyone knew where they needed to be and when and kept the day flowing behind the scenes, so Chrissy and Efe could stay present and enjoy the celebration they had planned.

Multi-venue London weddings can be incredible, but they need careful coordination.

The beauty of the day often depends on the parts guests never see. The timings, the transport, the instructions, the supplier cues and the small decisions happening in the background.

For Chrissy and Efe, everything came together beautifully.

A wedding we will always remember

Chrissy and Efe’s wedding was elegant, joyful and full of heart.

It had tradition, London charm, a red Routemaster bus and a historic music hall. Most importantly, it had two people at the centre of it who were an absolute joy to work with.

To this day, it remains one of our favourite weddings.

Chrissy and Efe, we wish you both all the happiness in the world. Thank you for letting Occasion Queens be part of such a special celebration.
